The annual survey, conducted by BBC World Service, showed strengthening of German positions. 26,000 people from different countries were surveyed, and 59% of respondents named positive Germany's influence on the world. This is three percentage points higher than in 2012.
In turn, European attractiveness survey conducted by Ernst & Young, showed that 38% of investors approves Germany. Such performance is better than that of France and the UK.
Ray Withers, president of investment firm Property Frontiers, said that the economic crisis differently affected Europe. Some countries (Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain, France and some Eastern European countries) are still in a recession, while Germany is an area of stability.
Austerity measures of Chancellor Angela Merkel put it in a low unemployment and growth of the German economy, which has attracted investors from around the world.
