The deputy of the Duma fraction "Fair Russia" Dmitry Gudkov accused on the pages of his "Live Journal" Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Oleg Sorokin, in hiding overseas real estate.
First Gudkov describes Oleg Sorokin's property specified in the declaration for 2012. According to this document, Nizhny Novgorod mayor owns 30 properties (the apartments, villas and plots of land), which are located on the territory of Russia, and 4 facilities located abroad, two of which - in France.
Gudkov outraged at the lack of declaration of assets of Sorokin's spouses - Ellada Nagornaya. In this regard, the deputy raised the question of who owns two homes area of 262 sq.m. and 440 sq.m. respectively on the Cote d'Azur. And he answers that the registry entries on the Cote d'Azur houses owned Ellada Nagornaya. In addition, Gudkov shows charters of three French companies established to purchase real estate, which is owned by Ellada Nagornaya, Oleg and Nikita Sorokin.
Curiously, not far from the place where the house of Ms. Nagornaya and Oleg Sorokin is situated the villa of Anton Averin, the vice-governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region for the construction. Averin also "forgot" to declare their property in 2012, until he was reminded of this.
