Maintenance cost of housing in Finland continues to rise

In Finland the cost of the housing continues to grow. They grow faster the growth of wages in the metropolitan region, says ee24.com referring to the Finnish media.

According to YLE, associated costs will be increasing by 3% every year over the next five years. Hardest hit will target the tenants and low-income pensioners.

In the capital city and the metropolitan area expenditure growth exceeds the growth rate of wages. Family with children, living in the metropolitan area in the private house of 120 sq.m. with electric heating has to pay about €1,900 per month. In the cities of Pori and Kouvola, this figure stands at €900 a month.
