Property sales in Estonia reached the level of 2008

In 2013 there were 41,65 thousand real estate transactions totaling €2.04 billion in Estonia. It's still by 30% lower than in 2006, but is comparable to figures in 2008, according to ee24.com citing Statistics Estonia.

Transactions with land plots for construction amounted to €332 million, with plots with residential buildings - to €319 million, with plots with the non-residential buildings - to €449 million, with dwellings - to €937 million.

The country justifies forecasts or leading rating agencies and real estate companies. In 2013 there were by 15% more transactions, and their total value increased by 18%. The average property in Estonia was worth €48,900, increasing by 2%. The greatest increase in the cost of the transaction occurred in south and north-east (by 16%) , while in central Estonia this value hasn't changed.

Estonian statistical department reports that the average cost of square meter of apartments increased by 10% nationwide (to €840 ), by 14% in Tallinn, by 13% in Tartu, by 5% in Pärnu.
