Buyers’ activity in Estonia grew by 12.4%

Estonia became increasingly buy and sell real estate. In 2012, the number of transactions increased by 12.4%. Such data published by The Baltic Course with reference to the Estonian Land Board. In the first quarter of 2013, Estonia had committed 11,174 real estate transactions, amounted to €490 million. For comparison, during the same period in 2012 Estonians and non-residents signed 9,940 contracts of sale property in the amount of €412 million.

In the first quarter of 2013, the new owners acquired ownership of 33,347 hectares against 30,340 hectares in the first three months of 2012.

In Estonia continues to grow not only the number of transactions in the property market, but also the volume of construction. According to preliminary data of Statistics, in 2012 the construction market in Estonia grew by 19% to €2.1 billion.
