Sale of house in England takes 33 minutes

One of the most costly decisions in life can be taken literally in half an hour. Last year, the British spent an average of 33 minutes on the home inspection prior to purchase, according to ee24.com citing telegraph.co.uk.

The study by Aviva was attended by 4,000 homeowners in the UK. Newly minted owners spent less time on visits, than those who got the real estate a few years ago, when the procedure lasted from 35 to 39 minutes. Moreover, a quarter of respondents said that before buying a home they visited it only once.

Experts attribute the trend with increased competition and the lack of supply. Only 46% new owners claim there was no competition, and 65% of Britons who bought housing 20 years ago claim the same.
