Every third resident of the UK, according to a new study by one of the major credit companies of the country, put off the purchase of their own homes until better times, and continues to rent an apartment or a house.
1.66 million tenants – this is an approximate figure of UK citizen living in rented houses, are not sure of their financial position - about 18% believe that they will be denied a mortgage, 10% had heard about increasing the down payment and decided to postpone the purchase until better times, 5% are not sure about the reliability of mortgage, and therefore continue rent housing.
Only about 25% of the respondents are willing to buy their own homes earlier, 9% can make a purchase within the next 18 months, while 16% believe that the accumulation of down payment will require from 2 to 5 years.
Are more satisfied with the fact if rent singles or couples without children, they are less inclined to consider rent spending senseless.
