Rating of European cities with the most expensive real estate

The most expensive real estate in Europe, as in the past, is in the capitals of Great Britain and France, according to a study of an audit company Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, which compared the cost of primary residence in the 12 countries of the Old World.

London is the most expensive city in Europe (1 sq.m. costs around €10,000). Apartment in Paris costs €8,300 per sq.m. In this case it refers to the central areas of cities with the main sights. Prices on the outskirts are lower - €6,000 per sq.m. in London's suburbs and €5,500 per sq.m. near Paris.

Munich is also expensive city, where a square meter of housing costs about €5,000. Real estate in Moscow, Rome, Marseille, Lyon and Milan costs about €4,000.

According to the study, it's the most difficult to buy an apartment in the capital of Russia, as for the purchase of 70 square meters of housing you will need to save money for about 10 years. In France this period is 9 years. And the most affordable housing can be found in Denmark, where you have to save money for 2 years.

The cost of real estate in Russia and the UK increased by 10% over the past 2 years. The rise in prices in France and neighboring Belgium amounted to 3% over the same period. At the same time prices in Spain, Italy and Holland fell by 3.6%, 6.2% and 6.9%, respectively. As experts of the company Deloitte explained, multi-directional markets are aggravated the economic problems in Europe.
