According to the report Real Estate 2020: Building the future, released by PricewaterhouseCoopers, in 2020 the volume of investments in real estate will increase worldwide by more than 55% - from the current €21.17 trillion to €33.06 trillion. In 2020-30s growth of investments into this sector will go at the same pace, according to ee24.com citing pwc.com.

Kees Hage from PwC argues that such growth will be ensured by migration in developing countries of Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Existing cities will become overcrowded, and new cities will emerge.

Investment in property in the developing countries of the Asia-Pacific region will increase more than twofold. As for the eurozone, in 2012 investment in property amounted to €5 trillion, and to 2020 this figure will increase to €6.5 trillion. Investment in real estate in the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe will show greater increase, rising from current €1.5 trillion to €2.6 trillion.
