Ekaterina Ansip, Head of customer relation departments in EuroLandRealty, believes that the issuance of Latvian residence permits will reduce threefold: "The Immigration Act amendments have cut off the people who bought housing only to obtain a residence permit. Actually the demand and interest in the Latvian property haven’t fallen too much, but the number of actual transactions decreased dramatically."

Irina Alexandrova, Founder of the Kalinka Immobiliare Srl agency, gives advice to buyers of real estate in Italy: "Last year there were many requests for villas worth million euro and above. Italy is currently suffering from crisis and sellers are willing to lower the price, if there is a real intend to purchase. Generally, there is not any significant drop in prices on the market, but they can be significantly reduced during the individual negotiations."
