Early spring is traditionally a high season for Russian foreign real estate industry: Moscow and St. Petersburg host exhibitions one after another. News coming from European countries, focused on two main directions. First, we talked to the experts and found out what European realtors expect from the Russians this summer. The intrigue is that demand growing in recent years, will be adjusted by political events in Ukraine and economic problems of the Russian ruble. Secondly, we talked about several innovative projects like building of skyscrapers, "green" clusters and even 3D-buildings.
At the end of March and early April portal ee24.com participated in numerous real estate exhibitions in the Russian capitals. In two weeks we visited the "Real Estate Fair" in St. Petersburg, became information partner for "The whole world real estate" in Moscow, acted as general media partner at St. Petersburg International Property Show, visited Moscow exhibition "Domexpo" and Moscow International Property Show. We were the first to cover these shows, we informed our readers about participant’s mood and customer’s preferences directly from the field. During exhibitions ee24.com experts participated in seminars and business events, made a report about the demand for European real estate among the Russians.
Despite the tensions in the relationship between Russia and the West, ordinary Europeans still feel good about the Russians. This is especially true for the countries with which Russia has a long history of friendly relations. For example, in Montenegro are always happy to see Russians among property buyers. And although they are a lot, it’s not easy to identify them in the Montenegrin cities: Russians dissolve among locals and become more disciplined and friendly. Furthermore, from an interview with the developer from Montenegro readers could learn about the real estate minimum cost level in this country, as well as about why Montenegro is more attractive than Croatia.
Wherever the Russians come, European realtors have already accustomed to: that Russian want to get what they say. If this is about a villa it means luxury, and if this is about a coast, it almost always supposed to be first line of the sea. But from interviews with luxury real estate developers in Greece, you will find out that the richest Russians, on the contrary, purchase houses away from prying eyes: privacy above all!
Days when the Russians came to the agency wiling to "buy anything" have gone. For 25 years, the Russian easy travel around the world and currently know exactly what they want. Despite the weakening of the ruble, interest towards European real estate is growing. This is especially true in Spain – traditional Russian "resort" over the last decade. Residence permit in Spain may be get with any real estate purchase and it shouldn’t obligatory cost more than half a million euros. Detailed instructions on how to do it, and what better to keep silent at the consulate – in an interview published at ee24.com.
What should come first – politics or economics? Czech spa Karlovy Vary regions, such as Marianske Lazny, do not want to lose Russian customers because of the notorious sanctions. Currency crisis in Russia facilitated a substantial outflow of customers, and introducing of sanctions threaten to disrupt the upcoming season. But Latvia's parliamentary coalition, on the contrary, decided to empower the government to introduce a moratorium on the residence permit issuance. In case the draft is approved, Riga real estate market may be reduced to its six part – that is a purchase share of foreigners applying for residency.
In the past two weeks two European capitals at once announced plans to build skyscrapers. In Tallinn will appear several 30-storeyed houses, and in Prague – 33-storeyed tower with apartments and offices. Infrastructure is not far behind as in the Budapest subway opened the fourth line, where run automated driverless trains. Needless to say that property near the new station began to rise in price.
But all this skyscrapers and subway are very traditional things that today don’t surprise anyone. And how do you find the world's first allergy friendly home built in Switzerland? Its residents are not allowed to use mobile phones, microwaves and perfumes. Even Albania is trying to be "in trend" and intends to build a "green" business park. Not impressed? What about shells – home, printed on 3D-printer in Germany?
The ee24.com collected the most authoritative opinions and told about the three European markets – Italy, Latvia and Finland. Readers learned when to expect property prices increase in Italy, why the keys left in Latvia will lead to a tightening of mortgage terms and how much is a cottage in Finland.
The Chinese are willing to fight with the Russians in the battle for Finnish cottages. They not only focus on the countries giving a residence permit with the real estate purchase, but also in the country of thousands of lakes. Chinese move to the West and reach Finland and Latvia, but Russian also don’t sleep and go to the West to reach the UK and Spain. In the province of Alicante, there are so many Russians that local authorities even want to organize support for Russian-speaking residents.
The ee24.com is a solid information resource, but we are able to have fun at least once a year. On the first day of April in the Russian site version was published "Gags of our city" article where we gathered all the "mistakes" , funny and amusing typographical errors (not only ours, but also from other publications). You may not only effectively work with us, but also cheer up!
