Vienna and Zurich were recognized as the best cities in the world by the quality of living, according to the Mercer 2014 Quality of Living Worldwide City Ranking. This is not the first year they head the ranking of the most comfortable places, writes ee24.com citing mercer.com.
Best cities in Europe are located mostly in central countries: Vienna (1), Zurich (2), Munich (4), Dusseldorf (6) and Frankfurt (7). By Mercer, the worst places to live in Europe are St. Petersburg (168), Tirana (179), Yerevan (180), Minsk (189) and Tbilisi (191).
Mercer has investigated conditions in more than 460 cities worldwide, and 223 of them were included in the final ranking. 39 factors, grouped in 10 sections, were taken into account. Among them there are policy, social sphere, economy, society, medicine, education, services, transportation, recreational activities, goods, housing and environment.
