Trivago, specializing in hotel reservations, has published a list of the most popular Mediterranean islands among tourists in Q2 2014. Spanish and Italian territories are winners, reports ee24.com citing ekathimerini.com. 

The top five in terms of reservations are Mallorca, Sicily, Tenerife, Sardinia and Ibiza. Crete is the 6tyh, but in total there are 10 Greek islands in top-30. They include Santorini (8th), Rhodes (12th), Mykonos (13th), Corfu (15th) and Zakynthos (21st) . 

Cheapest hotels can be found on the Greek island of Milos in the Aegean Sea, where the average stay costs €81 per night, while the most expensive are on Greek Mykonos and Spanish Formentera (Balearic Islands), where tourists have to spend €267 per night.
