Sweden is leading in terms of house price growth in Europe in 2015

According to the European Statistical Service, housing prices in Europe have increased most of all in the last quarter of 2015.


The most dramatic fall in prices in Q4 2015 had Cyprus (-4.2%). Slightly better is the situation in Lithuania and Austria. The greatest growth of real estate market was Sweden (+ 14.2%), followed by Hungary and the United Kingdom. The most significant drop in prices in 2015 was in Croatia (-2.1%), Italy and Cyprus.


Compared with the previous quarter, property prices in Bulgaria increased by 3.1%, whereas the average increase in prices in the EU was only 0.2%. Totally in  2015 the Bulgarian housing has risen in price by 4%, while in the EU - 2.9%.
