Social Progress Index is calculated based on basic human needs (housing, food, personal security, health care), on level of well-being (education, access to information, longevity, ecology), as well as on opportunities (rights and freedoms, tolerance, access to higher education).
The first ten also includes Sweden, Canada, Finland, Denmark and Australia. Most European countries have occupied high positions. Belarus was ranked 58th place, Ukraine - 62nd place. Russia (80th place) and Moldova (81st place) were named the worst in Europe for living, while Sudan, Congo, Burundi, Central African Republic and Chad were recognized the worst in the world.
