Cheapening of apartments in capitals: Slovakia and Slovenia are falling together

In Q1 2014, prices for apartments in Bratislava fell at an annualized rate by 1%, in Ljubljana - by 5%, writes ee24.com citing the National Bank of Slovakia and slonep.net.

In the Bratislava region square meter fell to €1,652, while it's still almost two times higher than in the rest 7 regions of the country, where housing price doesn't exceed €900 per sq.m.

Apartments in Ljubljana decreased in price to €2,216 per sq.m (by 5% y-o-y and by 1% compared to previous quarter). Ljubljana remains to be the region with the most expensive apartments in Slovenia. Housing on the Adriatic coast is offered for €2,213 per sq.m.
