According to the latest estimates, the cost of living is the cheapest in the Macedonian capital of Skopje, and the most expensive in the Serbian city of Belgrade, writes ee24.com citing monitor.bg.

The modest accommodations, simple food and cheap transport will cost € 806 a month for a family of two people living in Belgrade. It is by €180 more expensive than in capitals of neighboring countries. Cost of living in Sofia, Tirana and Skopje range from € 620 to € 630 per month.

Renting an apartment in area of 85 sq.m costs €590 in Belgarde, €463 in Tirana, €431 in Sofia, while in Skopje - only €401. But Skopje residents have to pay more than others for heating, electricity and water: €136 per month. The most expensive transportation is in Belgrade, and the most expensive food is in Sofia.
