The Russians remain interested in residential real estate in the Czech Republic, according to experts of Ihned.cz. However, due to the low rate of the ruble, the Russian buyers gradually leave the Czech market. The currency crisis reduced the purchasing power of Russian citizens, and the deals themselves are now becoming unprofitable.
However, as reported on the portal Ihned.cz demand from Russians has decreased only in a few regions – Brno, South Moravian region and Pilsen. Asians actively show interest to Czech real estate – immigrants from China, Vietnam and South Korea. But they can't yet compensate the numerous Russian buyers.
At the same time, the country has seen a steady demand for square meters among the Czechs. This is facilitated by the interest rates on mortgages, which are now at a record low.
