New apartment in Prague can be purchased an average for 64,000 Czech crones (€2,341) per square meter. For several years, prices have been practically unchanging, and for the last year they increased by 1,000 crowns (€37), writes ee24.com citing radio.cz.
In the city centre, Prage 1, a square meter in new housing costs around €5,000. Apartments located in Prague 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 are slightly more available. Nevertheless, even in the centre, namely in Prague 3, one can find inexpensive apartments.
The cheapest apartments are offered in Prague 21 and are worth around €1,300 per square meter. Apartments priced at €1,800-2, 200 per sq.m are the most popular in the primary market in Prague. Over a third of apartments sold in 2013 fall within this price.
