In the Croatian city of Osijek there were sold two identical apartments next door, but one of them was worth by €10,000 cheaper. The reason was its high energy consumption, writes ee24.com citing danas.net.hr.
One apartment had energy class C with an average power consumption 96 kWh per square meter, the second one had class F with consumption of 230 kWh per square meter. The first apartment was sold for €880 per sq.m, the second one - for €750 per sq.m.
Croatian media remind that before buying the apartment one must require energy certificate which clearly shows the average monthly consumption of water, gas and electricity for a particular premises.
