Bulgaria will impose sanctions against Russia

Bulgarian Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski says that in case of imposing sanctions of European Union against Russia, Bulgaria won't not use the right of veto, writes ee24.com citing Bulgarian media.

Yesterday Oresharski was talking to representatives of the Bulgarian-Russian Chamber of Commerce. He said that the veto is not the right tool in the dialogue between the leaders of the European Union. According to him, the European Council makes decisions based on consensus, and therefore all the members of the board remain satisfied in some measure.

Given previous statements of Oresharski when he argued against the imposition of sanctions, yesterday's speech was a complete surprise to the Bulgarian media. Economic restrictions against Russia are unfavorable for Bulgaria itself. Russians run business there and many of them own property in Bulgaria. In the last year nearly 10 thousand Russians have bought houses and apartments in Bulgaria.
