Bulgaria: sales are growing, prices are falling

Average asking prices for real estate in Bulgaria continue to fall. On an annual basis they fell by 1.8%, according to ee24.com citing propertyshowrooms.com.

Reason for the price falling is not even a drop in demand (on the contrary, it increases), but the desire of realtors and developers to sell quicker. In Sofia, the asking price amounts to €739, in Varna - €706, in Burgas - €569 per sq.m.

And if the prices are falling, the number of transactions is increasing. In the Q3 2013 there were 59.5 million homes sold, it is by 1.42% more compared with same period in 2012. In Sofia and Plovdiv this figure exceeded 7%: buyers are coming back to big cities, located in the central and western Bulgaria.
