February 15 in Brussels on the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the 28 EU countries, it was announced that Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed a formal application for EU membership.
Brussels said that Sarajevo application will be considered, in spite of the disparity of the country with all necessary for accession to the EU standards.
However, international experts were skeptical of the actions of the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and declared the earliest period of the country's accession to the EU in 2026.
