Property prices in the Austrian capital increased over the past five years more than twice - by 51%. The level of inflation for the same period was only 9.7%.
Today the average price per square meter in Vienna is €3 896. Five years ago, this figure was much lower - €2 634. The biggest jump in prices was observed in the period from 2010 to 2011 - by 21%. Since 2014 the price is relatively stable - an average growth of 6% per year.
In a number of areas of the city prices grew more than 80% - for example in the area of Mariahilf (6th district of the capital), prices rose by 99%.
