In Turkey at the end of last month sales fell on14.4% compared to the same period of 2015. In total, during that period it was sold 1581 properties. Most houses and apartments (276) in Turkey were bought by the Iraqis, they are followed by residents of Kuwait (172), Saudi Arabia (165), Afghanistan (115).
The Russians concluded in April 2016 96 deals, and this is the 5th place. Most of the sales were issued in Istanbul, Antalya and Bursa.
As for the Russians, traditionally they acquire homes in resort cities such as Antalya and Alanya. According to the Tweed Agency, Russians own up to 40% of Turkish holiday homes. They do not limit themselves with vacation housing– many of them are owners of local restaurants and hotels.
Turkish newspaper Sozcu reports that now many Russians owning real estate in Turkey, sell it at a low price or offer for long term rent.
