There are also many Turkish shops if you prefer, mostly situated on Ataturk Street which is parallel to Barbaros Street. Mahmutlar has two very good markets on Saturday and Tuesday. There is a wide range of colour with the vast array of fresh fruit and vegetables grown locally and also wonderful spices and teas. There are plenty of souvenirs.
