2015 became significant for the Spanish property market - recovery, which experts predicted, really started. One of the evidence has become an ongoing growth of the number of issued mortgage loans throughout the past year.

According to the National Statistics Institute of Spain (INE), in 2015 it was a record since 1975 - all 12 months, the number of mortgage loans grow from month to month.

Total 224 827 purchase housing contracts with a mortgage were registered during the year.

Experts believe that the positive trend will continue in 2016. The average size of a mortgage loan in 2015 amounted to € 107,000, which is 2.5% higher than in 2014.
