More than a third of foreign investors in Spain are the Americans and British

In the first quarter of 2016 more than a third (36%) of all foreign buyers of Spanish properties were citizens of the United Kingdom and the United States.

English-speaking investors are followed by the Scandinavians - the inhabitants of Sweden, Norway and Denmark. They accounted for 18.8% of transactions. The French are the next - 15.8% and Norway - 10%.

Apartments, townhouses and vacation homes were sold better than other properties in 1Q of 2016. The biggest amount of sales were recorded in Andalusia, Valencia and Catalonia.

As winter is the peak of activity of European investors, and in the spring there are more buyers from the Mediterranean countries, it can be concluded that the number of transactions in the Spanish real estate will continue to grow in the second quarter.
