In Croatia on the island of lošinj prices have risen by 5%

Previously, we reported that in August 2016, property prices in Croatia fell by 2.5% year on year. However, the situation on the island of lošinj in the Northern part of the country in the Kvarner Bay  is totally opposite. Here, the average cost per square meter rose over the year by 5%.

Prices for apartments range from €1 100 per sqm (in old buildings requiring repairs) and up to €4 500 per sq. m (renovated apartments located in houses on the first line).

The cheapest houses are around €45 000, and the newly built houses are sold for a few million. Land for sale is at €5 - €1,000 per sq. m. The most expensive land is situated in the center of cities and on the coast.

The island is a major tourist center for several decades. Most often, housing is bought by citizens of Germany, Austria, Italy and Slovenia.
