In Serbia, the 6000 objects will be reverted to the original owners

In Serbia they begin a campaign for the restitution of property, nationalized during the reign of dictator Josip Broz Tito, says portal ee24.com referring to the Serbian media.

As a part of the campaign hotel Beograd, located in the Serbian capital, was returned to the former owners. But things do not go quite smoothly, as the Attorney General of the country and the company "Serbian Railways" appealed the decision on restitution. In addition, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Serbia annulled the decision on restitution of Splendid hotel. This case is being considered in court now.

At the round table "The successful restitution - a condition for investment," it was announced that only in the Belgrade municipality of Stari Grad 400 houses had been returned to the former owners, and 6,000 facilities await the final decision, representing 30% of the total number of buildings, which has been applied for restitution. Until the end of 2014 50% of these applications will be applied.
