Real estate transactions in the Netherlands increased by one-third

The real estate market in the Netherlands showed greater productivity in Q3 2014. Despite the holiday mood, 29,015 transactions were signed, while from April to June – approx. 29,100. Such high performance from quarter to quarter was noted by Netherlands' largest realtors association – NVM – with reference to own data. In total, the Dutch brokers concluded about 39,000 transactions in Q3 2014, ee24.com informs.

According to opp-connect.com, in 2014 the number of transactions in the Netherlands increased by 28.9%, and average property prices – by 3-5% (the average cost of housing is €214,000 now). The cost of housing in large cities, as Amsterdam, Utrecht, Leiden and Haarlem, has risen by 10%. After a long fall, the market begins to recover and reach pre-crisis levels: about 146,000 objects already sold in 2014, while in 2008 – about 200,000.

In Q3 2014, the average price of homes sold in the Netherlands was €337,000, apartment – €168,000.
