BalkanPro.ru citing the local statistics Bureau Monstat, informs that by results of 2Q of this year prices for new housing in the country fell by 10.2% in annual terms. QoQ decline in prices for new housing in Montenegro amounted to 0.7%. However, each region has its own situation.
For example, now in the city of Budva, the resort capital of the country, you have to pay €1505 per square meter – it is 35% more than in the 1Q. In Bar average prices remain the same (€1,500 per sq m) since the 4Q of 2015.
In Podgorica real estate in the primary housing market is now cheaper by 2.7%. New apartments in the business capital of Montenegro are for sale at €1072 per sqm. Nikšić, the second largest city by population, also showed a decline in prices. During the 2Q the cost per square meter here decreased from €649 to €575 (11.4%).
