Almost €5,000 per square meter. The real estate market in Luxembourg is on the rise

In 2013 houses and apartments in Luxembourg rose in price by 8.9%, writes ee24.com citing globalpropertyguide.com. Now, according to STATEC, real estate in this duchy can be purchased for €4,625 per square meter: €5,408 in the primary market and €4,200 in the secondary one.

The average price of apartments in the center of Luxembourg amounted to €436 thousand, in the west - to €393 thousand, in the east - to €338 thousand. The state itself is comparable in size to the territory of Moscow, so it doesn't take long to get from one of its parts to another.

Experts note that the volume of housing construction in Luxembourg is growing (by 7.4% more permits in 2013), while the number of transactions is decreasing (by 2%, to 3,869). However, forecasts for a year 2014 are quite positive: economic growth will entail the real estate market recovery.
