The current wine farm (farmhouse) with a long history, located at 411 hectares in the famous valley of Chianti, Tuscany.
This farm has an ancient history which can be traced back to the eleventh century, namely since may 10, 1090, what remained document the historical archive of the city of Siena. The farm has a total of 28 units including suites and double rooms, distributed in 5 buildings, all with beautiful views of the vineyards and olive groves. These historic rooms have been renovated respecting the traditional Tuscan style and have the comforts of a 4 star hotel. The hotel also has 2 pools (one close to the main Villa with views of the valley and the second, which appeared during the reconstruction of dwellings, surrounded by gardens and vineyards, with magnificent views of the Chianti hills), bar, restaurant, children's Playground and a fitness room. Until the early 90-ies of XX century, grapes sold in bulk to local wineries, which produce wine of low quality. In the second half of 90s years, the owners have invested heavily in the reconstruction of the estate, was purchased 55 hectares of new vineyards that are used with the most modern agricultural technologies, built a new winery, allowing to produce and store up to 3.5 million bottles per year (currently 750 000 bottles), was rebuilt buildings with living quarters, adjacent to the main building, offering guests a level of service equal to four-star hotel, an extensive marketing campaign, which helped to create a successful brand for sale bottles of wine Chianti Classic in the package. These investments have already started to make a profit, it is necessary to consider that the winery reached full capacity in 4-5 years after launch, taking into account the cycle of agricultural production of grapes, and after making wine requires 3-4 years of aging. Over the years, in order to optimize the production company was looking for better solutions for adaptation and reducing production costs without reducing product quality and decreasing markets for its distribution.
