Surrounded by vineyards in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, Fattoria Vitigno is situated in the Chianti Classico, about 30 minutes south of Florence and 40 minutes from Siena.
Perched on the top of the hill, it overlooks one of the most famous medieval towns of Chianti.
The estate is comprised of the main villa (365 sqm), industrial buildings (1130 sqm), farmhouse (465 sqm) and 2 beautiful swimming pools.
Fattoria Vitigno has a total of 58 ha, with more than 30 hectares of specialized vines, has undergone several transformations. The vines have been modified and renovated, respecting DOC and DOCG regulations and modified, increasing the variety of vines. In addition, the winery has been renovated to include the most modern, cutting-edge technology.
With the first grape harvest dates back to 1964, the use of barriques has been part of the company’s winemaking technique since 1985. Barriques are used with discretion and competence – without excessive introduction of vanilla and spices originating from the oak.
With the current facilities, Fattoria Vitigno is able to ship up to 500.000 bottles of wine per year and is undergoing the authorization for new facilities, which will allow the shipment of up to 1.000.000 bottles per year.
