"The more expensive the wine, the higher the cost of housing near the vineyards is" - this conclusion was made by Italian real estate portal idealista, analyzing the cost of housing in Tuscany and Umbria.

Farms in Tuscany and Umbria are considered among the most expensive in the country, in particular in Siena (Chianti and Montalcino wines) price per square meter is on average € 3154 and can vary greatly depending on the type of building (castle, manor house, cottage) . Footage begins from 300 sq.m. In Siena also it has been made the most expensive deal in recent years - the purchase of 926 hectares of land for € 20 mln.

Today one hectare vineyard in Italy is sold an average for € 36 K  - in comparison the other agricultural destinations lands are sold for not more than € 20 K.

Rating Italian vineyards version WineNews sees as follows: The leadership has South Tyrol - €550 K per hectare, followed by Amarone with € 480K up to € 500K. Next ones are Prosecco Conegliano (€ 380 K) and Valdobbiadene (€ 350 K) per hectare. Similar prices are in the vineyards of Trentino, Barolo and Montalcino, prices from € 350 K up to € 330 K.

The investment attractiveness of these regions has no doubt, the only problem is to find someone who is ready to sell their vineyards.
