In Hungary the one-bedroom apartments are sold the best

Since the end of 2015 in Hungary is growing demand for small apartments (20-30m2) with one bedroom. This is especially true for cities with a population of more than 10 000 people. According to the Hungarian portal Ingatlan.com, apartments slightly larger area (50-70 m2) are sold much worse.

This is despite the fact that the cost per square meter in a small apartment is about €1565 (but not less than € 1170), and a medium-sized apartment - from € 1070 to €1480. Small apartments are easier to rent out. This explains the increased demand for them from investors.

According to experts, it is possible to stimulate property demand for medium size apartments with the government policy (stimulate the market, give subsidies for the purchase of a first home). This process will take at least 2 years, or even more.

Portal Knight Frank says that in 2015 the prices increased mostly in the Hungarian capital - Budapest. The price increase was + 16.3%. Foreign investors can use the immigration program here. Perspective to move to Europe with the purchase of the Hungarian real estate is particularly attractive for wealthy Chinese citizens.
