• LOCATION:
A bit about the history of the neighbourhood: In 1805, Count Montgelas had a park created to the north of the Bogenhausen Bridge for his castle, Stepperg
Castle, which was later bought by Duke (Herzog) Max of Bavaria, resulting in the park being renamed Herzogpark.

Erich Kästner, Willhelm Conrad Röntgen and August Pschorr all lived in this prominent neighbourhood. Thomas Mann also lived in Herzogpark, where Thomas-
Mann-Allee is even named after him.

“It isn’t a forest or a park; it is a magic garden. No more and no less”, he wrote about Herzogpark in his short story ‘Master and Hound’ in 1919.

Herzogpark is one of the 8 districts of Bogenhausen. To the present day, Bogenhausen counts as one of the noblest districts in Munich, where the social
and political elite live.

Bogenhausen with its magnificent villas, sophisticated architecture, plenty of green spaces and parks, fulfils even the highest expectations.
Other benefits are its art, culture and history, as well as its excellent range of shopping and leisure amenities, all of which are very close by.

The Isarauen, the floodplains of the Isar, are just a couple of minutes’ walk away and offer a perfect environment for jogging, walking and a wide range
of other sports. On the far banks of the Isar lies the “English Garden”, one of the largest parks in the world.

In addition to this, you will also find almost every amenity to cater for your dayto-day needs around the corner at Kufsteiner Platz. Top restaurants such as
„Feinkost Käfer“ in Altbogenhausen or the „Seehaus“ in the English Garden are just a stone’s throw away.

If you want cultural highlights, you’ll find just what you are looking for in Bogenhausen at the Prinzregenten Theatre, the Villa Stuck museum and the Monacensia
Literary Archive. Not far away you will also find the centre of the cultural capital of southern Germany, with operas and theatres, as well as numerous
galleries and museums.

Bogenhausen is ideal for those who want to enjoy the benefits of living in a rural setting while also enjoying the convenience of living in town. Head out to
find the best and most beautiful that Munich has to offer, in a very exclusive location with real estate of lasting value. Living here is a privilege.
