The prison in Finland will be transformed into a residential complex

"The prison from which you do not want to escape" - this slogan accompanies the company for the sale of apartments in newly built residential complex on the territory of the former ancient prison. The company Kakola Yhtiot gradually bought all the buildings – now they are already under construction.

Buyers of apartments in the former Central building will be able to enter their homes in 2017. At the moment are completed the repair and decoration of the former prison mental hospital. The project developers sought to convey "the spirit of the age", but the window grates were removed. Company executives promise to actively create and develop the infrastructure of the area.

Among the most notorious criminals who lived in this prison, are serial killer Matti Khapoya (the exact number of victims is unknown) and "Count" (Pertti Ylermi Lindren), who was engaged to 76 women, and at the last moment disappeared with their savings.
