Russian music critic Artemy Troitsky has bought the property in Tallinn. Estonian newspaper Eesti Paevaleht reported that he had applied for a residence permit, but Troitsky denied the rumors about running away from Russia, writes ee24.com.

The media indicated the reason for moving as "hysterical atmosphere of militarism and aggression" and "war propaganda" in Russia. Meanwhile, Artemy Troitsky has not confirmed this information. According to his words, he is not going to leave Russia, but due to his work as professor at Tallinn University he will be forced to visit Estonia more often.

According to our information, buying property in Tallinn did take place. In early 2014 the wife of Mr Troitsky was seeking housing in the capital of Estonia and chose the prestigious quarter Mähe in the seaside neighbourhood of Pirita.

Property prices in Pirita are one of the highest in Tallinn. Square meter is estimated at €1.5-2 thousand, while the city average is €1.4-1.7 thousand, and housing in cheap quarters goes for €1.2-1.3 thousand per sq.m. Among the houses for sale in Pirita (namely private houses are typical for this area) there are offers for €200-300 thousand and more.
