Parking space in London is more expensive than real estate

One parking space near Hyde Park in London costs as much as 300,000 pounds (€350,000). This is two times more expensive than the provincial house in England and Wales, reports ee24.com with reference to the British media.

And when we talk about the cost of a parking space, the question is not about the price for the purchase but for the rent for a period of 91 years. Despite the extremely high cost, some wealthy people in London have already indicated their willingness to take ownership of this little piece of asphalt.

Interestingly enough, this parking space costs just £500 (€580) more expensive than the cost of a one-room apartment in the same area. Houses near Hyde Park cost about £15 million (€17.4 million) and there is not much place for parking. Wealthy people often can't find where to park their luxury cars.

The Standard Evening newspaper reports that last year two of these parking spaces in London were sold for 250,000 pounds (about €290,000) each. It is also noted that the long-term lease of personal parking space will be cheaper than paying endless parking fines.

In Westminster, a respectable London's district, parking in the wrong place will cost you £80-130 (€90-150). This means that you will need only 20 years to spend £300,000 (€350,000) for payment of parking fines.
