Mayor Boris Johnson: "We shouldn't stick two fingers up to foreign investment"

Speaking at the MIPIM in Cannes, London Mayor Boris Johnson, said the British capital would continue to create conditions for the inflow of foreign investment, according to ee24.com citing opp-connect.com.

It's a well-known fact that many locals can't afford to buy property in London. The supply is weak, prices are rising, and people often blame foreign buyers. Johnson suggested to focus on the construction of new homes instead of imposing restrictions on foreigners.

"We should on no account turn up our noses at foreign money," Mayor said. "Foreign money is not the problem. The answer is not to stick two fingers up to foreign investment. It is to increase housing supply."
