Denmark: real estate market is stagnating

The real estate market in Denmark is in a state of stagnation. Prices vary inconsequential way lately. In particular, in 2012 property prices in Copenhagen climbed by 1.1% when adjusted for inflation to €3,064 per square meter, according to the portal Global Property Guide.

For comparison, in 2012 the house prices across the country fell by 4.92% to €1,470 per square meter y-o-y. In the fourth quarter of 2012 prices falling for homes in Denmark was 2.49% q-o-q.

In 2012 the cost per square meter in Denmark decreased in the following regions: Copenhagen and suburbs (€2,432; -3.2%), Zealand (€1,253; -8.4%), South Denmark (€1,174; 5.6%), Central region (€1382; -4.7%), North Jutland Region (€1,063; -3.6%).
