The president of the Free Citizens Party, Vít Jedlička created his own tiny country in Europe – a free republic of Liberlend – and became its president. The new country is on the "free land" (as Jedlička says) with area of 6 square kilometers between Serbia and Croatia. In the near future Jedlička will notify the United Nations and other countries about his project, as reported by prague-express.cz.
A Liberlend' slogan is "Live and let live", and tax payments are voluntary. "Our ideals are Monaco, Liechtenstein and Hong Kong," said Vít Jedlička, a Czech politician, publicist and activist.
According to him, there are already dozens of petitions for Liberlend' citizenship, the main condition for receiving it is not to be a communist, Nazi or extremist.
