About the project
We started preparing the first study of the multifunctional house R PLACEO in our architectural office for the investor at the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009. Although I drove through the town of Rosice countless times, I knew very little about the main square. The square surprised us with its elongated medieval shape, which at its highest point graduates with the construction of the town hall and Rahn's house, known in its time as Rahn's Palace.
Everything is crowned by the massive construction of the chateau with views of the valley of the Bobrava river and the Říčanský brook. In the north-eastern corner of the square, we designed a classic city multifunctional house in a modern architectural concept, which turns into the square and the side street with shops and apartments on the upper floors. In the basement there are underground parking spaces and cellars. The R PLACEO project is divided into three separate apartment buildings with their own entrances to the stairs and elevators. Everything is solved consistently barrier-free with a strong focus on detail and functionality.
The facade is divided towards the square into three units. Profiled plaster with a decorative corrugation is used on the corners and main facades of the square. The upper floors of the house protrude from the face of the facade. Our intention was to design a modern contemporary building and complete the missing part of the square.
