Central Europe: the most expensive buildings – in Prague

The cost of apartments in Prague in 2012 set a record. According to the website Aktualne.cz, the price of housing in new buildings in the capital of the Czech Republic amounted to €2,467 per sq.m. Real estates in Prague is the most expensive in Central Europe and close to the price of housing categories in Berlin and Brussels.

For comparison, a square meter for new homes in Warsaw in 2012 cost €1,656, in Krakow - €1,593, in Budapest - €1,198.

Experts attribute the high cost of real estate in Prague with the geographical location of the city, economic attractiveness, modern and convenient facilities. A significant role in price formation is played by foreign customers, including those from Russia.

Note that the most expensive apartments are now in London (€9,933 per sq.m.).
