Prague restaurants have found a way to cheat foreigners

As a result of an inspection carried out in 13 cafes and restaurants in Prague, it was found that only in 5 of them foreigners did not overpay, while in the remaining 8 making the same orders as locals they paid more, reports ee24.com citing radio.cz.

Trade Inspection sent two employees, who communicated with waiters in English, as well as two others who acted like local residents. When billed "foreigners", they added an additional 5-15% as a tip. Since this practice is common in many countries, foreign customers are not even aware that they are being deceived.

Czech Trade Inspection clarifies that the inclusion of additional money in bill is unacceptable. At the same time, the situation is much better than it was two decades ago, when restaurants had two menus: in Czech with lower prices and in English with higher prices.
