Czech Republic: real estate agents will be regulated by law

In 2015, in the Czech Republic were more than 15,000 real estate agents. Among European countries, it is the fourth result - more agents are only in Spain, France and Italy.

This fact was one of the reasons for the development of a bill to regulate the activities of real estate agents: they will be required to confirm their professional qualities. In particular, the agents will need to obtain a license, which would indicate their qualifications.

The project aims to adjust the relations between agent and the customer, enhance the professionalism of the industry and protect the rights of consumers.

Earlier real estate agents activity was not regulated in any way. The bill should proceed to the Government before the end of 2016 and enter into force - no later than in July of 2017.
