In Cyprus housing sales increased by 50%

The positive trend in the housing market in Cyprus is maintained. In July, Cyprus has again been ranked among the most popular areas by the portal TheMoveChannel.com.

According to the latest official data, the number of homes sold in August increased by 2% in annual terms. Sales to the locals during the first seven months rose by 35%. Transactions with foreigner buyers for the last 4 months increased by 31%.


The number of purchases by foreigners during the period from January to August 2016 fell only in Famagusta (-3%). In all other parts of Cyprus, it has increased: in Limassol by 41%, in Nicosia – by 19%, in Larnaca – by 15%, in Paphos – by 4%.


During the month, sales to foreigners increased by 75%.
