About the project
Blaumaņa residence” is considered as one of the best works of Karl Felsko, the leading architect of Riga at the end of the 19th century. Felsko is the creator of more than hundred residential and public buildings, most of which are listed in capital’s cultural fund. His designs can be distinguished by the detailed elements of the facade decorations — cornices, pediments, garlands and cartouches that are created according to the traditional laws of harmony and style.
Karl Felsko inherited his talent and love for architecture from his famous father, Johann Daniel Felsko, whose sketches were the base of such masterpieces of Riga as the Small Guild, the Church of St. John, the old church of St. Gertrude and many other historic buildings.
